Odisha Dibas Celebrated at Berhampur University

Berhampur,1/4(zillakhabar): Odisha Dibas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the New Conference Hall of Berhampur University, Bhanja Bihar on 1st April 2025. The event, which marks the formation of Odisha as a separate state, was attended by various distinguished guests, including Shri Jagadananda, Mentor and Co-Founder of the Centre for Youth and Social Development, Bhubaneswar, as the Chief Guest.

Other notable speakers included Professor Geetanjali Dash, Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University, Professor Sukanta Kumar Tripathy, Chairman of the PG Council, and Shri Sachidananda Nayak.

In his address, Shri Jagadananda emphasized Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and the significance of the Odia language. He highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the mother tongue, stressing its role in connecting the people of Odisha across generations. He also called upon the youth to take pride in their cultural roots while contributing to the state’s progress.

The program also included speeches by other dignitaries, who reiterated the importance of education, language, and cultural preservation. The celebration concluded with a cultural performance showcasing Odisha’s traditional art forms.

The event was a fitting tribute to the state’s rich legacy and heritage.
